Emory Area is mostly called this because of Emory College and Emory University. Emory remains one of the fastest-growing research universities in the United States and is renowned for the strength of the scholarly achievements of its faculty and students; it’s highly ranked professional schools, a long-term commitment to the arts and sciences, and the presence of more than seventy research centers that are addressing social problems. This area is located east of I-85, north of midtown, and stretches to Decatur. There are multiple older neighborhoods mixed with a lot of new construction in the area.
