The big parade in Downtown Atlanta starts at 1:00 pm and lasts for about 1 1/2 hours. This unforgettable parade is sponsored by WSB-TV. The parade starts on Peachtree (at Ralph McGill and ends at Centennial Olympic Park.

Ativities begin at 5:00 PM with loads of fun for the entire family and end with a huge fireworks display.

Activities start at 3:00 PM with a children’s bike parade at 5:00. There is music and fun for all ages at Keswick park. The fireworks start at dusk.
Buckhead/Lenox SquareThe party begins at 5pm in the parking lot of Rich’s-Macy’s, where musical performances entertain the crowd. During the day, from noon to 5pm, costumed characters, face painters, balloon artists and an Uncle Sam on stilts entertain kids inside the air-conditioned mall. The main event–the largest fireworks display in the Southeast–gets underway at 9:40pm.

July 4th is one of the busiest days at the park, but if you are wanting to get a little exercise and loads of fun, go early. For the past several years, the park has closed at noon when they reached crowd capacity. It is a great treat to climb stone mountain and watch the fireworks from a great vantage point. Don’t forget your flashlight, the trip back down the mountain is very dark. There is a per car fee to get in the park. Many of th activities in the park charge a fee as well.
