The FESTIVAL OF KNIGHTS at NANCY CREEK THEME SCHOOL. Thursday, Oct. 19, 7:00 p.m. Nancy Creek Theme School students present an abridged version of Shakespeare’s magical play A Midsummer Night’s Dream with assistance from Georgia Shakespeare. Admission is free. Friday, Oct. 20, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Nancy Creek Theme School’s Village Faire, a fun-filled fall festival for the whole family with a rock climbing wall, giant slide, obstacle course, shoot the hoops, cakewalk, concessions, food, and carnival games with great prizes. Soak a teacher in the power shower or get a face painting. Adults will enjoy the decorated pumpkin auction and a raffle to win valuable goods and services generously donated by area businesses and restaurants. A jousting demonstration by local renaissance performers rounds out the night. Admission is free. Nominal ticket charges for raffle tickets, food and festival events. An added attraction at the Village Faire and open to the community is the Golden Horn Child Identification Program, sponsored by the DeKalb County Public School System – Department of Public Safety. The DCPSS-DPS will fingerprint, photograph and issue an identification kit for each child 12 years old and younger that is accompanied by a parent/guardian. This service is free and available to all DeKalb County residents. The booth will be open from 5:30 to 7:30 pm during the Village Faire.”
